There ’ s more to the beauty industry than just enhancing or transforming the outward appearance . It can have a much deeper effect on one ’ s soul . Gino Trunzo grew up going to the salon with his sisters and mother , where he experienced this first hand . Trunzo loves working within the spa industry because he sees health and beauty as the number one attribute to an individual ’ s overall wellbeing .

As assistant vice president of education at essie , Trunzo finds the most rewarding experiences come from watching his team develop into better leaders . Keeping the team motivated , continuing their education , and then giving them the tools to pay it forward can be the biggest challenge Trunzo faces daily , but he says being able to watch his students become the teachers is an indescribable feeling .
