souNd off do you EvEr WoNdEr how your peers would handle a situation? maybe you’re curious what other leaders in the spa industry have to say on a certain subject. In sound Off, we ask ISPA members from differing backgrounds, countries and companies the same question and see how their answers compare. We surveyed the speaker selection taskforce—the group of isPa members who vet and choose the Education session speakers for the isPa conference & Expo—to see who their favorite speakers have been over the years. Petra has risen above some significant life challenges and has chosen to give back inspi- ration. She walks the walk! i absolutely love Bryan Williams! he is such a motiva- tional speaker and has the biggest passion for the hospi- tality industry. his passion truly inspires me and others to work like we own it and be the best we can be! Jim Collins’ General Session remarks probably had the most impact on my approach to leadership and my overall approach to business; striving to achieve executive level leadership for myself and inspiring others to do so has been key for me. I have gained so much varied knowledge over the years with ISPA that I cannot point to one. Recent years working on the Speaker Selection Task Force has given me the opportunity and responsi- bility to delve into the backgrounds and messages of my assigned speakers giving me greater understanding of their information t han I would have received if I had just attended a 30 or 90 minute session. n KEEP aN EyE oN your iNBox for the next ISPA Snapshot Survey, where you can answer upcoming Sound Off questions for the chance to be featured here. 92 PULSE ■ July 2018
