Despite not promoting group experiences or even listing them on the spa menu , Ginger McLean , director of spa operations at Hard Rock Atlantic City says that she too has noticed wellness playing an ever-growing role in the experiences groups seek during their hotel stays .“ We don ’ t promote groups . We don ’ t have group packages . But we ’ re seeing anywhere from two to five requests [ for group experiences ] per day coming through , including bachelorette parties , friends getting together , birthday groups and families ,” McLean says .“ So I think it ’ s a growing trend . I know , having been in the business for over twenty years , that there has been a shift to [ spa being ] a social opportunity to spend meaningful time together with people you care about . I ’ m delighted that our spa is set up to be able to accommodate that .”
