2025 ISPA CONFERENCE

Pulse : ISPA will be celebrating its 35th anniversary at the 2025 Conference . If you could travel back 35 years to 1991 and give some advice to a pre-teen Amy , what would you tell her ? AP : I would tell her she is capable of anything she puts her mind to but to remain flexible on the journey there because life is full of twists and turns . I would tell her that even when times get tough to not doubt herself and to not doubt her worth , to dive into her dreams and goals because she has the power to make them a reality .
Pulse : If you could design a wellness retreat based on your life experiences , what would it include ? AP : I ’ ve actually been wanting to build one for years ! I would include breathwork — I ’ ve actually recently been offering free classes online alongside my breathwork coach that anyone can join . I would offer a sound bath , bodywork , dance and movement with powerful music , journaling and reflection exercises , laughter and connection , nature and organic nutritious food . Who wants to help me make this happen ?! I ’ m in !
AP : In order to elevate yourself — whether it ’ s snowboarding , speaking on stage , performing or running your own business — it really comes down to elevating your thinking . You have to believe you can go farther in order to go farther . That ’ s why working on your mindset is the most important part of achieving anything : You are only as capable as you believe yourself to be .
As an athlete I had to elevate my mindset when I was stepping in the start gates getting ready to race , even when I was under pressure and possibly not doing my best .

Pulse : ISPA ’ s Conference theme will be “ Elevate .” Snowboarders probably have a different association with that word than motivational speakers do .
