Notes
“ The less we cement ourselves to our certainties , the fuller our lives can be .”
A DEAR FRIEND GIFTED ME with a fun book ( Love & Saffron by Kim Fay ) over the holidays and the above line really jumped out at me ....
Got me thinking about everything we can accomplish if we let go of what we believe the rules are — most of which are cemented in our own heads . Reminds me of our amazing keynote speakers Mick Ebeling with Not Impossible Labs , Doc Hendley , Brené Brown , Maya Angelou , Sidney Poitier and on and on .... The ISPA stage has been shared with some tremendous thought leaders who encourage us to stretch what ’ s possible and break barriers .
When ISPA Humanitarian Ben Nemtin takes the stage this year , we will learn about the “ Buried Life ” movement that encourages people to create a bucket list and complete their goals — helping strangers achieve their big moments while focusing on emotional and mental health . A very timely topic indeed ! I cannot think of a better way to relinquish our uncertainties and cement ourselves into believing we and our beloved industry can accomplish anything when we embrace the “ Not Impossible Art and Joy of Doing What ( we thought ) Couldn ’ t be Done ,” to borrow a thought from Mick Ebeling .
Don ’ t stop believing and cooking with Love and Saffron !
