AS WE SAY GOODBYE to one year and greet the next one , everyone involved with the ISPA Foundation would like to extend an extra warm welcome to the many new spa and resource partners members who joined ISPA in 2021 . And whether you ’ re a brand new member or you ’ ve been with us since the beginning , we ’ re excited to continue sharing Foundation updates with you in this space in 2022 !
We ’ re off to a fast start in 2022 , with the annual ISPA U . S . Spa Industry Study set to open on January 11 and close in late February . Each year , this wide-ranging study is conducted in tandem with longtime partner and respected global research firm PricewaterhouseCoopers , providing ISPA members with detailed data on industry performance and key trends related to the workforce , compensation , treatments and operations , which they can then use to make fully informed decisions for their spa or business . This year ’ s study is particularly important because it will provide a first glimpse of the industry ’ s recovery following the worst days of the pandemic .
Of course , the more data contributed to the study , the more complete that picture will be . For that reason , it ’ s vital that as many U . S . -based ISPA members as possible complete the survey when they receive the invitation link via email from PricewaterhouseCoopers , so keep your eyes on your inbox ! In May , initial results — including the “ Big Five ” statistics — will be shared during the 2022 ISPA Conference , and all ISPA members will receive a full results report later in the year . Two survey participants will even be selected to receive a complimentary registration to Conference !
Of course , completing the ISPA U . S . Industry Study survey is just one way to support the Foundation ’ s research efforts .
