comfortable as a manager and to think that , as long as that person shows up , everything is okay . It ’ s easy to forget about what your employees are looking for as well . And second is to give your team growth opportunities no matter what size of business you work in .
Years ago , I worked for Bliss Spas . Business was booming at that time . We were literally fully booked all day , every day a year in advance . I remember being really shocked and impressed they still closed every Wednesday morning for three hours of staff training . They could have easily filled those hours but felt they were getting a good
ROI on this time . It ’ s easy to read a headline about quiet quitters and complain about them . We need to look at that challenge and admit that we ’ re not operating a great business if we ’ ve got a culture where we ’ re not invested in our teams . The consequence is never-ending interviews , constant onboarding and a procession of people coming through . We need to create a sense of security and stability in a world that doesn ’ t feel very secure at the moment . That ’ s the environment we should be looking to create for our teams . n
