“Spa guests are invited to unwind and relax before or after any service— it helps them get the most out of any service and greatly enhances the spa experience.” L ocated in Covington, Louisiana, Stone Creek Club & Spa provides guests three different wellness experiences under one roof: spa, fitness and sports. “The vision for Stone Creek Club & Spa is to create an everyday getaway for our members, fulfilling their fitness and wellness goals in a welcoming, relaxing setting that everyone in the family can enjoy,” says Spa Director Katie Santangelo. “For us, the fitness and spa environments should go hand-in-hand. Both are beneficial in so many ways to a person’s well-being.” Because Stone Creek is able to differ- entiate itself from other day spa or fitness-only facilities through its diverse offerings and amenities, it is able to attract a growing number of members. Since opening in 2009, it has grown its membership from 800 to an estimated 5,000 in total. “The spa has seen tremendous growth along with the club. We have added therapist positions and treatment types since we have increased our business and client base,” she says. Relaxing Spa “One of our clients’ favorite things about our spa is our tranquil relaxation area and private garden,” she says. “Spa guests are invited to unwind and relax before or after any service—it helps them get the most out of any service and greatly enhances the spa experience.” Santangelo updates the spa menu once a year after gathering feedback from both guests and staff members in order to ensure that the updated menu reflects current trends and demands. The Creekside Retreat remains the spa’s premier service package—a half-day experience that includes two one-hour treatments, signature manicure and pedicure, and a spa lunch from the Creekside Café.
