Social Responsibility Stone Creek embraces sustainability and social responsibility in the way it operates its business. It has put in place a recycling program to minimize waste, a digital lighting system to optimize lighting usage while reducing energy waste and a rain-sensing irrigation system that prohibits watering of its landscape and grounds during the rainy season. Additionally, Stone Creek offers bicycle racks at the club entrance to encourage bike usage among club and staff members, as well as actively donates and raises funds for nonprofit organizations. Stone Creek’s latest fundraising effort was to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project, a veterans service organization that offers programs and support to wounded military men and women. “Our general manager was inspired to accomplish two goals with this campaign. The first was to raise funds to help our military veterans recover from the physical and emotional wounds they suffer while helping to protect our way of life. The second was to create a public display of patriotism and military support that would spark conversation in the community and encourage the public to get involved in showing their gratitude and patriotism,” she says.
