“ Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your BALANCE, you must keep moving.”

— ALBERT EINSTEIN
I’ m not a fan of grocery shopping. It’ s so timeconsuming and I’ m constantly thinking of the million other, more productive things I could be doing while pushing my cart up and down the aisles.
In comes ClickList: Kroger’ s answer to my grocery shopping woes. This new service allows me to order all my groceries online then pick them up at a designated time. No waiting in long lines, no buying extra things I didn’ t need. It’ s brilliant.
And that’ s what technology should be for us, right? A tool for quickly and efficiently getting our to-dos checked off or helping us achieve our goals for the day. There’ s no need to feel guilty about using technology to make your life better, easier or more productive. Technology shouldn’ t run our lives, but it can improve them. It’ s all about balance.
My cute husband is very techy and is always interested in the newest gadget- like our friend Alexa. She’ ll set the lights in the house, play our favorite playlist, and when we have a question, she’ s right there with the answer. She saves us time and energy on a daily basis. Our home may be super connected thanks to advancements in technology( and my cute husband), but early morning walks around our property before the sun rises over Kentucky horse country are a chance for me to recharge and reconnect to myself, to nature, or even to a close early bird friend. Mindful moments like these are my answer to our connected lives; my way of finding balance.
What’ s your answer to our modern connected world? As technology becomes a bigger part of our lives, what do you use to keep yourself balanced?
