AROUND THE WORLD , COVID-19 vaccine rollouts have created a sense of optimism concerning the pandemic , but that ’ s not the only effect they may be having . Just under half ( 48 percent ) of all spas reported receiving a request from a guest specifically asking to be paired with a service provider who is vaccinated against COVID-19 , a figure which suggests that spas should develop a clear policy for handling such requests if they have not already done so .

IN ADDITION TO REVENUES AND PROFITS trending upward compared to a year ago , many resource partners are also celebrating increases in new accounts , repeat clients and international accounts . More than three quarters ( 76 percent ) of resource partner respondents noted an increase in new accounts compared to 2020 , while 40 percent reported an increase in the number of repeat clients and 43 percent said the number of international accounts at their companies had risen year-over-year .

As for how resource partners will be training those new clients ? More than four in five ( 82 percent ) say they will conduct trainings both in person and virtually for the remainder of 2021 , while 15 percent will continue to offer virtual trainings only .
