Meet
Kyle Berner
FOUNDER, FEELGOODZ
WHEN HE WAS IN HIS 20 s, Kyle Berner decided to create a
bucket list. Well actually, it was a little smaller than a typical bucket
list, so he called it “The Pail List.” (Get it?)
Passionate and fearless, Berner craved a variety of experiences in
hopes that he could learn something from each. One Pail List item
was to “work outside,” which is why he became a hot dog vendor.
Another was to “create something from scratch,” which is why he
became a music producer.
“I had this list and wanted to cross out the items,”
Berner says, “trusting that in doing so, it would lead to a path
I was most passionate about. Boy, it sure did!”
In 2008, the New Orleans native founded his own
company called Feelgoodz, which creates
sustainable, fair trade, artisan-crafted
footwear and accessories. Last year,
Berner integrated that business into
the spa industry.
This was never part of his plan,
but Berner met Tara Grodjesk from
TARA Spa Therapy Inc. at Expo
West in Anaheim, California.
“I had this list
and wanted to
cross out the items,
trusting in that doing
so, it would lead to
a path I was most
passionate about.
Boy, it sure did!”
Grodjesk speculated that Feelgoodz
would be a great addition to the spa
industry, especially with its focus on
sustainability. Last May, Feelgoodz
attended the Green Spa Network Buyers
Conference and received a positive response.
Berner built on that momentum and attended the 2019 ISPA
Conference & Expo in Las Vegas in September.
“I’m looking forward to helping spa directors partner with a brand
such as Feelgoodz to lead the charge on sustainability and wellness in
the spa industry,” Berner says.
“The products that we sell embody a fantastic sustainability story,
and spa directors and buyers can offer a brand to their guests that
align with the needs of the growing wellness community.”
