ISPA Board advances member value, financial strength and strategic focus at Q1 meeting
THE ISPA BOARD OF DIRECTORS convened on January 21 in Houston for its first-quarter meeting, focused on strengthening member connection, safeguarding the association’ s financial health and advancing strategic priorities across Conference, governance and industry leadership. In addition to the full ISPA Board meeting, both the ISPA Executive Committee and the ISPA Research Foundation Board held business meetings during the visit.
Strenthening member engagement and community The meeting opened with reflection on the ISPA Connect reception held the evening prior, graciously hosted by member property The Houstonian. The event included a behind-the-scenes tour of the spa and back-of house operations, offering attendees an inside look at the property while creating space for informal connection.
Board members noted the importance of increased visibility and approachability, reinforcing ISPA’ s role as a trusted, inclusive community. The reception set a strong tone for the meetings and underscored the Board’ s commitment to meaningful connection with members. accountability and continuity in board service. In addition, the board approved the current slate of officers to continue in the 2026 – 27 term, returning ISPA to its standard election cycle. The board also approved the appointment of Kelleye Martin to the ISPA Research Foundation Board, supporting leadership transition and long-term continuity within the Foundation.
