Discover.” —Mark Twain As ISPA celebrates 25 years, our Chairman Michael Tompkins made a great point during the recent Washington Spa Alliance symposium held in Washington, DC. He said: “We need to celebrate the fact that the industry no longer has to explain to journalists that spas aren’t hot tubs.” It’s true! I’ve been in my role as an association professional for 20 years and there have been countless media interviews where the majority of the time was spent on that! Although the industry has molded and adapted during these past 25 years, one thing that has remained steadfast is ISPA’s reputation. ISPA’s core purpose has remained laser-focused in strengthening the industry to help our membership. ISPA has defined an industry, grown an industry and serviced an industry.
