A MESSAGE FROM YOUR ISPA CHAIR

ISPA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Unpacking the Inspiration:

AS WE REFLECT ON AN UNFORGETTABLE ISPA CONFERENCE, I hope you are feeling as inspired and energized as I am. This year’ s gathering was truly a five-star event, bringing together our spa community at The Broadmoor’ s glorious resort to learn, connect and celebrate the industry we love. Wait until you see some of the photos in the Conference review section!( That story starts on page 20.)
Our keynote speakers left us with incredible insights. Amy Purdy reminded us that perseverance and perspective shape our success— not just in business, but in life. I’ ve had so many people say they need to look at their life better and know they have nothing to complain about!( Story on page 28.) Will Guidara and Christina Tosi shared the magic of“ unreasonable hospitality,” showing us that it’ s the small, thoughtful gestures that really elevate guest experiences.( Story on page 30.) And Peter Katz? His concept of“ Joy Snacks”— finding those little moments of happiness— has already become a favorite phrase among my leadership team.( Story on page 32.)
As we carry these lessons forward, I challenge each of you to turn inspiration into action. ISPA is a member-driven organization, and your involvement moves our industry forward. Whether it’ s serving on a task force, participating in Snapshot Surveys and the ISPA U. S. Spa Industry Study, writing for Pulse magazine, contributing to the ISPA Foundation Auction( see page 60) or sharing your news and press releases with ISPA, your engagement makes a difference. Connect with us on social media, attend Town Halls and start planning for next year’ s Conference. And if you’ re interested in sharing your expertise onstage, speaker inquiries are now open for # ISPA2026 in Las Vegas.( See page 40.)
Thank you for making this year’ s Conference such a big success. Let’ s keep the momentum going and continue shaping the future of our industry— together.

— KELLEYE MARTIN, CHAIR
THIS SPRING, ISPA WAS DEEPLY SADDENED to learn of the passing of John Korpi. A devoted and influential member of the association, John served as Chairman during ISPA’ s formative years and later went on to lead the ISPA Foundation. His tireless work was instrumental in the development of the many textbooks ISPA developed over the years. We will honor his enduring legacy in the next issue of Pulse.
