What do you do when spa clients start using AI as a personal esthetician?
Seems like a simple question you’ d ask your esthetician. But now, people are asking their devices— and brands should want a seat in those conversations.
CONTENT CREATORS ARE FUELING a“ ChatGPT glow-up” trend: asking AI for suggestions on how to improve their skin and hair, what wardrobe colors look good with their skin tone … anything! They upload photos, list the products they use and request step-by-step plans. One influencer asked for a 90-day plan to get rid of acne— and said it worked, posting before-and-after after photos on her social channels.
When ChatGPT is asked about skin-care routines, its answers often include specific product recommendations. In a Pulse test where the same query was submitted 20 times, the vast majority of suggested brands were big pharmacy labels. Their dominance in chatbot results shows how effectively major brands use SEO and GEO— a wake-up call for spa companies to do the same.
