Past workshops have included vision board exercises and guided breathing sessions that “helps people reach a new level of breathing, brings up emotions and clears them away,” says abrams. abrams, who was inspired to found five Wellbeing after caring for her husband during his battle with cancer, partic- ipates in national family caregivers month with workshops that provide caregivers with strategies to care for their own mental wellbeing. notes abrams, “caregivers are usually the ones that are left with anxiety and stress, and they need a place to let it go.” Lastly, five Wellbeing allows all of its employees to use the inhale and exhale rooms free of charge, and each month managers are offered an outside alternative treatment, such as acupuncture or biofeedback. in a more general sense, abrams makes a point of being open and vulnerable with her employees: “if i open up with them, that calms them and makes them feel safe,” says abrams.
