AS THE PHILANTHROPY PROFILE found elsewhere in the pages of this issue of Pulse demonstrates clearly , the ISPA family is an incredibly generous bunch . Even during the darkest days of the pandemic , our community has banded together in support of others , donating time , money and resources to everyone from women ’ s groups to frontline healthcare workers to people whose homes were damaged or destroyed by natural disasters . The causes ISPA members support quite literally span the globe .
I have little doubt , then , that our members will be well-represented among the millions who will join together this Giving Tuesday ( or # GivingTuesday , for those of you who like to stay current on your hashtags ) to support a wealth of worthy causes . In its ninth year of existence , Giving Tuesday has grown into a global movement that has expanded its reach far beyond a single day of generosity , though their traditional celebration event will take place on November 30 , the Tuesday following Thanksgiving in the U . S .
As you plan all the ways you and your business will do some good this Giving Tuesday , we humbly ask you to consider a donation to the ISPA Foundation . As you can likely imagine , the loss of in-person fundraising opportunities due to the pandemic , including the large auctions held at each ISPA Conference , has meant that we have had to get creative as we continue our support of the ISPA community through industry-leading research , scholarships and other initiatives . We ’ re committed to providing that support and continuing ISPA ’ s mission of elevating the spa industry at every opportunity , and we ’ re confident that the generous support of our members and our impending return to in-person events at the 2022 ISPA Conference in Las Vegas will keep us in a position to do exactly that .
No matter the amount , we ’ re grateful for every donation that finds its way to us , because every donation leaves us that much more able to serve our exceptional members . Thank you for all you ’ ve done this year to support yourselves , your teams , your guests , your communities and the causes you hold dear .
