“You know what they say about the best laid plans...” IT IS TRULY HARD TO IMAGINE we were all supposed to preparing to gather and celebrate ISPA’s 30th anniversary next month. Typically, your ISPA Team would be rapidly gearing up for the biggest event of the spa year. Little did we know that things would change so drastically. As we plan to SHINE On next May, we are beyond grateful for the amazing industry that has demonstrated such resilience in times of uncertainty. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes—the spa industry will overcome and become stronger from all the lessons learned. Thank you— thank you to all the amazing people that have supported us! Preparations for the 2021 ISPA Conference & Expo are well underway using new innovative approaches, and the excitement is abundant. Each ounce of good news is celebrated like never before, and we are thrilled to pass some happy news along so you can celebrate with us. We recently received confirmation that Adam Grant was able to rework his busy schedule so he can join us as the day two Conference keynote. During the pandemic, he has been an absolute inspiration. It feels like he’s been holding our hand virtually along the way as he shares heartfelt, thought-provoking messages through his online presence. We have been blessed to have many memorable WOW moments on General Session stage. In addition to our keynotes, the ISPA Chairman sets the tone for the year and our outgoing ISPA Chairman, Garrett Mersberger had a natural gift for this role. It is with mixed emotions that we say a heartfelt thank you to him as he starts his new life adventure. We will miss him. I will miss him – each and every Chairman has left an indelible mark on our community and certainly me personally as we grow and learn together. Congratulations to Garrett and Heather as they embark on an exciting new journey. Thank you for everything! —LYNNE McNEES, ISPA PRESIDENT CONNECT WITH ME ON FACEBOOK!
