PRICE PER SERVICE AND SPA TYPE

In 2023 , the average price per spa service increased by four percent from the previous year , reaching an estimated $ 120 . This upward trend was consistent across various types of services , with massages and facials both seeing a four percent increase , and body treatments experiencing a seven percent rise . Service prices varied widely , from lower-cost nail services to higher-end body treatments , with these differences remaining consistent over the past five years .

When comparing prices by type of spa , resort / hotel spas generally charged higher prices than day spas . For instance , the average cost of a massage in resort / hotel spas was almost double that in day spas , and similar disparities were observed for facials and body treatments . Hair and nail services , however , showed less price variation between spa types .

It is important to note these averages and comparisons can vary significantly across different spa establishments based on factors such as type and location .
