A MESSAGE FROM YOUR ISPA CHAIR
2026- 2027 ISPA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Our Time Has Come

From spa operators and physicians to developers, technologists and hospitality leaders, the boundaries between spa, wellness, medicine, performance and longevity are disappearing.
OVER THE PAST DECADE, our industry has evolved from spa to wellness and now into the rapidly expanding conversation around longevity.
That creates both an opportunity and a responsibility for our industry.
Longevity is not replacing spa and wellness. It is bringing together everything that can help people live healthier, feel and function better and experience a higher quality of life for longer.
It draws on the power of science and diagnostics, informed by data and technology. But it also includes something our industry has understood for generations: the restorative and healing power of hands-on therapies and human connection, expressed through ritual, recovery and personalized care. This is not an either / or conversation. It is both / and— and more. The longevity movement is accelerating with or without us. Spa and wellness professionals can help define what it becomes. Or we can allow medical clinics, technology companies and emerging recovery concepts to define it without us.
The advantage Spa already has Our advantage is significant. We understand how people want to feel, not simply what they want to measure. We know how to translate care into experience and create environments where people can restore, reconnect and make meaningful change.
Consumers are ready. Expectations are changing, and the appetite continues to grow for personalized experiences that are preventive, restorative and supported by science.
