How to Solve Them
ACCORDING TO THE ISPA SPA WORKFORCE STUDY, the average number of
hours worked per week is significantly high for those in spa management positions with 87 percent
of study respondents working more than 40 hours per week. This long hours culture could be the
result of several challenges spa leaders continue to face in today’s spa work environment.
To get a handle on those challenges, we asked spa directors in the February ISPA Snapshot Survey
to tell us the biggest challenges they are facing in 2018. Here are the seven that were most
prevalent, along with tips and tricks for solving them fast and without headache.
