Spas and Students Connect in 2025 Spa Internship Program
STUDENTS INTERESTED IN SPA CAREERS have an opportunity to apply for internships at member spas through the ISPA Internship Program. Participants in this professional development program will gain meaningful, hands-on experience within the spa industry.
Program Connects Spas with Future Talent
Rather than placing interns directly, ISPA offers a centralized application process to connect qualified intern candidates with participating spa employers. This helps ISPA member spas identify and recruit emerging talent for a range of guest service and support roles. Participating spas conduct their own interviews and make individual hiring decisions based on their staffing needs and organizational fit.
The Internship Experience
Internships take place at ISPA-member spas and are designed to give students hands-on experience within a spa environment. Typical positions include: l l l l
Spa Receptionist Spa Attendant Therapist Assistant Retail / Fitness / Wellness Attendant Interns may also be introduced to vital administrative functions such as inventory, payroll, marketing and staff training, providing a well-rounded understanding of spa operations.
With flexible scheduling to support academic commitments, internships can be completed over a semester, quarter or summer term. Interns may work up to 40 hours per week and receive at least minimum wage, in accordance with state regulations.
Internship Eligibility
The program is open to students currently enrolled in programs related to cosmetology, hospitality, wellness or recreation management. Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a career in the spa and wellness industry.
