Centered and Strategic: Updates from Salt Lake City

THE ISPA BOARD OF DIRECTORS gathered June 18 in Salt Lake City for a focused, one-day meeting that set the stage for the association’ s year ahead. The session featured several key discussions and decisions, including the election of new officers.
Association Business at a Glance l # ISPA2025: The board opened by celebrating the success of the 2025 ISPA Conference, held March 11-13 at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As always, this milestone sparked forward-looking conversations about how ISPA can continue investing in and elevating its membership. l Nominations Committee: With volunteer engagement in mind, the board approved the formation of the 2025 – 26 ISPA Nominations Committee. Meeting dates and locations for the upcoming board term were also finalized in preparation for the Expression of Candidacy opening this fall. l Industry Research: The recently released 2025 ISPA U. S. Spa Industry Study was a focal point for board members, who explored ways to amplify the reach of this and other ISPA Foundation-funded spa industry research through wider awareness and targeted messaging.
Looking Ahead to the 2026 ISPA Conference
Plans are well underway for next year’ s ISPA Conference, to be held March 31-April 2, 2026, at The Venetian in Las Vegas. During the meeting, the board approved registration rates, balancing affordability for attendees with the realities of rising costs.
RESOURCE PARTNER TOOLS A robust conversation also addressed how best to support spa professionals and resource partners during the event— ensuring the Conference experience continues to deliver exceptional value to all who attend.

A NOTE ON OFFICER ELECTIONS

PER THE SUGGESTION of the ISPA Nominations Committee, this year’ s officer election process followed an adjusted timeline, reflecting a thoughtful alignment with both the ISPA Conference schedule and the nominations process.
Rather than holding elections prior to the annual Conference, as in years past, the board elected new officers during its June meeting in Salt Lake City. The newly elected leaders began their service immediately following adjournment— ensuring a smooth and timely leadership transition.
