“ After years of seeing results and sharing what I was doing , I created Sanara . Sanara comes from the Spanish word ‘ sanará ’ which means , ‘ you will heal ’. My wish is to not only help bring healing to those with skin conditions or sensitive skin , but to share the beauty of Latin America with as many people as possible .” This wish was given legs when Sanara was named Buyer Favorite at the 2019 Indie Beauty Expo in Dallas and it continues to come true every day .
But making dreams possible isn ’ t a passion that Rebekah reserves only for herself . She also volunteers for Latinitas , an organization local to her Austin , Texas , home , which empowers girls of all backgrounds to innovate through media and technology . And when she ’ s not putting in hours with her company , Rebekah may be found receiving her favorite spa treatment — a body treatment with a scrub and massage — or hitting the road ( or skies ) to visit favorite spots in Mexico or her husband ’ s family in Norway . Her work has provided a few exciting opportunities of its own , of course . One recent highlight : giving Camila Alves McConaughey ( founder of Women of Today and wife of actor Matthew McConaughey ) and her children a soap-making class . n
