EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED …

WITH EVERY MAJOR EVENT comes the opportunity to refine, reimagine and elevate. That’ s part of the joy in planning Conference— asking how we make it better, how we keep it fresh and unexpected, while preserving what has made it so special for 35 years.
As you might imagine, bringing 2,500 people together in Las Vegas comes with its share of behind-the-scenes moments that need quick attention— at times, a bit like whack-a-mole. When the Power Session system went down on Day One and needed a reboot, we were reminded just how strong this community is. ISPA Chair Kenneth Ryan and Research Foundation Chair Kelleye Martin turned a challenging moment into a memorable one. Truly well done.
As I’ ve shared before, I’ m a big fan of“ Survivor” and“ Big Brother.” I’ m drawn to the group dynamics— the way strangers come together, form connections and build something meaningful. That same spirit is alive and well within the ISPA community. There is nothing quite like seeing people meet for the first time and leave as friends. We hear it again and again— this is unique, this is special, and it’ s something other associations aspire to create.
We are deeply grateful for each of you— our incredible members, our dedicated volunteer leaders, our valued partners and, on a personal note, the most professional and genuinely fun ISPA team.
