ISPA Board charts bold path forward at Q4 meeting

THE ISPA BOARD OF DIRECTORS convened Sept. 30-Oct. 1 at Carillon Miami Wellness Resort for two days of spirited discussion and forward-looking decision-making. With governance, financial stewardship, Conference planning and strategic visioning all on the agenda, the meeting balanced business formality with creative thoughtfulness.
From lighthearted icebreakers— directors shared their“ dream cars” in a nod to later strategic visioning activities— to in-depth discussion, the board consistently anchors its work on two guiding questions: l Does it strengthen the industry? l Does it help our members?
KEY DISCUSSIONS AND DECISIONS
Across two days, directors addressed several areas of business for the association including: l Approval of the 2026 budget l Membership rates for the coming year l 2026 ISPA award recipients l Governance updates l Collaborate Group: Enhancing peer-to-peer knowledge sharing l Resource Partner Task Force: Strengthening alignment with operators and overcoming supply chain issues l ISPA Ambassadors: Broadening educational outreach and member engagement
Conference updates During the meeting, Jay Shetty was officially announced to the members as a 2026 ISPA Conference keynote speaker. With excitement at an all-time high for the annual gathering, directors reviewed strong exhibitor commitments for the 2026 ISPA Conference, along with plans to enhance firsttime attendee experiences and honor religious observances. The Board endorsed efforts to improve orientation and strengthen newcomer connections at the event.
