As an expert in her field, Lori helped untold numbers of spas and resorts
recruit and retain the talent they needed to achieve new levels of business
success. The roster of job positions Hutchinson Consulting has helped fill
includes spa directors, general managers, corporate executives and chefs de
cuisine.
“This award is a wonderful and apt tribute to Lori,” comments Bill. “She was
a visionary. She envisioned career paths for people and helped them get there.”
Lori served as a member of the ISPA Board from 2007 to 2010 and was a
longtime ISPA member. McNees admired Lori’s dedication, saying that “Lori’s
energetic spirit was a bright light as she served on countless task forces
throughout the years and made an impact on the spa community.”
She dedicated her life to changing the lives of others by helping them achieve
their career goals and find fulfilling, purposeful jobs in the hospitality industry.
In doing so, she enriched the lives of everyone with whom those people inter-
acted, whether they were a spa manager, human resources professional, fitness
instructor, or any other profession.
“What set Lori apart in all aspects of her life was her genuine, unfeigned,
expansive love of people,” says Bill. “She reached out, she made connections
and she absolutely adored small-world stories.” n
