The application and voting processes are exclusive to ISPA members , ensuring industry peers determine winners in each category . Each member company receives one free entry , with additional submissions available for a small fee . Each ISPA member organization

A PIVOTAL MOMENT of the 2024 ISPA Conference unfolded on Day Two as Colin McIlheney , ISPA ’ s research consultant , delivered a sneak peek of the 2024 ISPA U . S . Spa Industry Study . That initial look included only the “ Big Five ” statistics . These data metrics — total revenue , spa visits , number of locations , revenue per visit and industry employment — are just a small segment of the full study , which encompasses everything from compensation data , service offerings and averageprices by category , to spa location distribution in the United States .

The study reported a continued growth in U . S . spa industry revenue , climbing from $ 20.1 billion in 2022 to $ 21.3 billion in 2023 , marking a six percent increase . Encouragingly , the total number of spa locations continued to grow , and spa visits also saw an uptick , rising from 181 million to 182 million . Revenue per visit grew by five percent , increasing to $ 117.50 , while overall industry employment increased by 2.6 percent to 370,100 . These findings underscored positive momentum and resilience within the spa sector despite earlier challenges .
