The task force continues to explore more intentional connections between Resource Partners and spa members. Ideas have included spaces for focused conversations, engagement across different Conference areas and smaller, more informal opportunities for relationship-building.
The group also has discussed how ISPA can help members and partners maintain connections after Conference through events, digital platforms, education and communications.
Feedback is shared with the appropriate ISPA staff teams and considered as future programs, Conference plans and member resources are developed. Not every idea can be implemented immediately, but each discussion offers valuable insight into the priorities and experiences of this member segment.
COLLABORATE GROUP: Exploring the changing spa landscape The ISPA Collaborate Group brings together industry leaders for deeper discussion around timely business topics and emerging shifts within the spa and wellness landscape.
Recent conversations have examined how wellness priorities, personalization and technology are influencing the guest experience. Participants discussed the continued demand for stress relief, recovery, longevity, sleep support and services focused on mental and emotional well-being. The group also explored how spas can create more personalized experiences while maintaining realistic expectations for their teams.
Technology was another central topic, particularly the growing use of artificial intelligence and other tools to support service recommendations, guest communication and operational efficiency. At the same time, participants emphasized the importance of preserving warmth, care and human connection. Members noted that some guests may welcome a technology-enhanced experience while others are increasingly seeking opportunities to disconnect.
The group, which comprises primarily corporate leads, also held a thoughtful discussion around medical-adjacent spa services and the increasing interest in areas such as longevity, recovery and medically supported wellness offerings. Members considered regulatory requirements, medical oversight, brand alignment, team training and the importance of clearly defining what staff members can and cannot communicate to guests.
The conversation also highlighted related considerations for retail, guest education and responsible

messaging. Participants emphasized that these offerings may be a natural fit for some organizations while others may determine that they do not align with their brand, operating model or guest experience.
Turning Conversation into Action The value of ISPA’ s volunteer groups extends beyond any single meeting. Their feedback helps identify areas that may benefit from additional education, research, peer discussion or member communication.
Ideas raised during volunteer connects inform future Town Halls, iLearn content, Snapshot Surveys, Pulse articles, Conference planning and other member resources. They also help ISPA understand how broader industry trends are being experienced across different business models and member communities.
Through open conversation and continued engagement, ISPA’ s volunteers contribute experience and perspective that help the association respond thoughtfully to an evolving industry.
ISPA is grateful to every volunteer who shares time, knowledge and insight. Their collective contributions continue to shape relevant programs, meaningful connections and valuable resources across the ISPA community. n
