Lead the Future of ISPA Apply to Serve on the ISPA Board of Directors
ISPA IS SEEKING ENGAGED, FORWARD-THINKING MEMBERS who are ready to help guide the association’ s next chapter. Each year, the ISPA Nominations Committee reviews the board’ s current composition and identifies leadership needs to ensure the board reflects the diversity, professionalism and strategic vision of the ISPA community.
Eligible members are invited to apply online for consideration. Candidates may also be asked to participate in video interviews as part of the selection process. The final slate will be presented to ISPA membership for approval, and newly elected directors will receive a comprehensive orientation before joining the board during the 2027 ISPA Conference, March 3-5, 2027.
Directors may serve a term of up to three years, with the opportunity to serve two consecutive terms before a required one-year break.
WHO SHOULD APPLY? Board service is open to members who:
l Are current, primary ISPA members in compliance with the ISPA Bylaws, Article VI, Section 2 l Have maintained ISPA membership for at least two years l Have attended at least one ISPA Conference l Are willing to volunteer time each month in support of board responsibilities and association priorities
WHAT BOARD SERVICE INVOLVES Serving on the ISPA Board of Directors is a meaningful opportunity to represent the membership, support the association’ s mission and contribute to ISPA’ s strategic direction.
BOARD MEMBERS ARE EXPECTED TO: l Attend and participate: Join three in-person meetings each year, take part in virtual connects and actively participate in the annual ISPA Conference. l Prepare thoughtfully: Review digital updates, headquarters reports and board materials in advance of meetings. l Stay engaged: Remain connected to ISPA communications and member touchpoints, including social media, Snapshot Surveys, Pulse magazine, Town Halls and written updates. l Support volunteer work: Participate in ISPA volunteer groups aligned with their interests or membership category, helping bring member insights back to board discussions. l Make a financial commitment: Cover out-of-pocket travel expenses for in-person board meetings and support the ISPA Research Foundation through monetary and / or auction donations.
